10,000 Orders Later… I’m Still Grateful Every Day

I wrote this message to my customers when Apple Girl Boutique reached a milestone that honestly took my breath away. I’m sharing it here as well because this moment belongs to all of us.

Success is measured in many ways. ⭐

I started both of my businesses after I lost my job, first as a way to create my own career destiny and second to have flexibility when it came to being available for my family.

As a small business owner, I have measured my success as most do, in dollars and cents.

I wake up in the morning and immediately start thinking about –
“How am I going to make money today?”

This is a day after day, month after month, year after year cycle.

Just like every other small business, I need my business to make money. I have bills to pay, a family to feed and a mortgage.

Some days I really need to remind myself about what I have created.

What I have done.

What my true successes are.

While my business has had its revenue ups and downs through the years, quite frankly – it has been successful.

Successful for creating a brand from scratch and having it grow.

Successful for building a community of shoppers all around the world.

Successful for some shoppers turning into loyal friends.

Successful for helping me build personal relationships with business owners and customers.

Successful for customers becoming my cheerleaders and referring my business to their friends.

Successful for creating smiles on people’s faces when they get the favorite item on their wish list.

Successful for allowing me to have my family be a part of collaborating with me and helping my business to grow.

Successful for giving me the ability to be creative and learn new skills.

In September, Apple Girl Boutique reached a success milestone – 10,000 orders on my Shopify e-commerce store. 🏆

That is 10,000 times people chose to hit the “add to cart” button.
10,000 times they chose my brand.
10,000 times they chose to trust me.
10,000 times they gave me a chance.

10,000 times.

It is mind blowing.

I know some people may look at this and say – “it’s not one hundred thousand orders or one million orders.”
Well, it is to me.

If you would have asked me nine years ago if Apple Girl Boutique would be successful, I probably would have said “I hope so.”

Now I have 10,000 reasons to say YES!
